My experience at Moore was interdisciplinary, creatively rigorous and academically challenging. As a result, I had an extremely rewarding and advancing custom experience. So many things at Moore inspired me – the Galleries, my classes, professors across campus and, of course, my fellow classmates! Moore’s community is itself a great facilitator and support system for professional artists like myself.
With a major in Fine Arts and a minor in Textiles, I have been able to navigate various artistic applications and professional opportunities since my graduation. In 2009, I started my own business, D’Agostino Fashion Textile Design, where I hand dye textiles exploring traditional shibori dyeing techniques while engaging contemporary fashion through a dynamic line of clothing. Given my background in sculpture and textile design, the designs for the collection are based on the dialogue between two-dimensional surfaces and three-dimensional volumes.
