From 9 am to 5 pm, I am at Lenox Corp developing crystal glassware, but from 6 pm to 12 am, I am a freelance graphic designer. I take on side jobs for small businesses, creating logos, stationery, invitations, screen printing, making jewelry, sewing, etc.
My sister was already a student at Moore when I was looking at colleges and had asked me to check out the Senior Show. When I went, I was blown away by what I saw! Right then and there, I decided I wanted to be a Moore girl.
Moore has taught me to try new things and to always grow in and around your field. One of my professors helped me realize that I can apply my graphic design skills to more than just 2D design – I can do so much more with my talents by branching out and using different mediums.
While at Moore, I interned at Philadelphia Magazine on Market Street. The main thing that I loved about working there was the photo shoots. I learned a lot of photography skills that I still use today. Overall, I am glad I had that experience.
My favorite thing about Moore is that the College continues to guide you after graduation! The career center has helped me with numerous freelance jobs and I also keep in close contact with a few of my professors, who have turned into a wonderful group of friends and mentors.
