My mother is a painter and a teacher. So, the arts have always been a part of my life. I attended a performing arts school in DC and discovered Moore during National Portfolio Day. It was definitely the right decision for me.

The friends you make here are what sets it apart. By day, I'm a Senior Web Designer for Anthropologie. But at night, I'm hard at work in a studio space I share with two Moore alumnae. I use the space to make my own handmade books, but together we're working to develop a line of home furnishings, which will include one-of-a-kind metal and fabric screens, lamps and chandeliers.

My connection to the College will be ongoing. After all, for all it's given me, I want to give back. I teach a bookmaking class, and also participate in portfolio reviews for Graphic Design majors. It's rewarding to work with designers who are just beginning to learn the craft. Once I was in their shoes, but now I have two perspectives on Moore, that of a student and that of a teacher...I'm able to see how special Moore is, when really, I knew all along.

Moore allowed me to pursue my many interests. I was able to study Graphic Design and Illustration, while also minoring in Art History. Moore supports an independent, entrepreneurial spirit.
