I had very little training as an artist before I came to Moore, so I was like a sponge – soaking up everything I could!

Moore prepared me and inspired me to have a wonderful and productive life as a professional, working artist. I learned how to be enormously resourceful. I also discovered the huge joy in creating something from nothing.

It has been a long time since I graduated from Moore, but everything I do as an artist has its roots in the disciplines and exposures that were formed in my years there. I feel lucky to be an artist, and owe so much of the development of my talent and artistic skills to my education at Moore.

My advice to students is to take advantage of everything offered to them at Moore. Take advantage of as many opportunities as you can. At the same time, learn to focus and apply yourself to what ever it is that really interests you.
