Digital Media for Print & Web
This program meets the needs of students who have varied educational and career backgrounds and want to foster their creative sensibilities while building industry-specific training for the field of print and web design. It was developed for individuals who intend to work in areas requiring both print and web expertise.
Courses integrate contemporary design and visual communication with professional-level software skills in print and web graphics, production, and publishing. Working with page layout, design and composition, illustration, color, text/photo manipulation and interactivity, participants develop leading-edge aesthetic and technical abilities for creating print publications and websites.
The development of personal vision and innovative problem solving are encouraged along with technical proficiency. Classes take place in modern studios and the Fox Center for Digital Arts, Design Media & Printing with state-of-the-art equipment and industry-utilized software.
A flexible and dynamic approach to learning is based on the time-honored strengths of Moore’s degree programs and the experience of our award-winning faculty, who are committed to sharing their knowledge and bringing real world know-how into the classroom.
The comprehensive curriculum comprises eight courses that can - but are not required to – be completed in one year. Students earn undergraduate-level credit which may apply to undergraduate degrees or be used to meet graduate degree prerequisite requirements. Certificate graduates are prepared to go forward in a creative and fulfilling career.
