Interior Decorating Certificate Program
The concentration and flexibility of the Interior Decorating Certificate fits the demanding lifestyles of today’s professionals. From self-educated decorators seeking formal training to professionals wishing to change careers, students will benefit from a sequential curriculum designed to provide the latest working knowledge of the interior decorating field.

The program faculty are professional interior decorators, interior designers, and architects who bring varied, real-world experience to the classroom. Students learn the principles of design and color, freehand and technical drawing, as well as the history of furniture and decorative arts. Courses include state-of-the-art technology, as well as the economics of the interior decorating business. A capstone course offers students the opportunity to complete an individualized comprehensive project that incorporates information learned in previous courses.

To earn the certificate, eight required courses must be successfully completed. They are designed to be taken in one year, but may be completed at the student's own pace. Students are highly encouraged to tailor their education with electives to work toward a specific interest or career goal.
