The Summer Art & Design Institute is open to young women who have completed their sophomore, junior, or senior year of high school by June 2008, who are passionate about their artwork—and who want to spend four wonderful weeks developing and growing artistically. Students planning to enter their first year of college in the fall are welcome to apply.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
The application process for the Summer Art & Design Institute prepares you for the actual process of gaining admission to an art college. As a prospective student, please submit the following materials by the Application Deadline:
• A completed application form
• $50 application fee - Check, Money Order, Visa or MasterCard. (Applications received without a fee will not be processed.)
• 4-6 images of recent artwork, which can be submitted on a CD, in slide or in photographic format. Please contact the Office of Continuing Education if you would like to submit images via e-mail.

• Letter of recommendation from an art teacher or equivalent, attesting to your creative ability and maturity level.
• Copy of most recent report card
• Personal statement indicating why you want to participate in the program and what you hope to gain from the experience
• TOEFL (or SAT) test scores (International applicants only)
INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS
The Summer Art & Design Institute also welcomes international applicants from around the world. All qualified, participating international students will be granted the Form I-20 from Moore College, with which the student can obtain an F-1 Visa for the duration of the program. To qualify for an I-20, the student must submit proof that she can pay for the program and expenses; usually a recent bank statement is acceptable. International students whose first language is not English must submit TOEFL or SAT scores. Minimum TOEFL test scores for this program are: 500 (paper-based exam);173 (computer-based exam) and 61 (Internet-based exam). 215-965-4047 along with Visa or MasterCard payment of $50 application fee. The fax is located securely in our office for your privacy. Note: Please do not fax portfolio images of artwork. Images of your original artwork must be emailed or mailed separately so they can best display the detail of your work and be accurately reviewed.

Full payment must be made by June 13, 2008. Basic art supplies and materials are provided by Moore. Students enrolled in the Fashion Design program will need an additional $50 to $75 to cover cost of fabric.
*This is a residency program and all students are expected to live on campus. Students interested in commuter options should submit a written request. Priority for acceptance is given to students enrolled as a resident.
