The decision for me was easy. During my senior year in high school, my art teacher approached me about a scholarship opportunity at Moore. I went to visit, and I got the feeling that it was right for me. The personal attention I received during the admissions process helped a lot, too. My admissions counselor was always accessible and friendly. She even called me a few days in advance of my portfolio review, just to make sure I was ready.
For me, the greatest thing about Moore is its individuality. Being the only women's art and design college in the nation, it brings together quite a diverse group of women who have different talents and perspectives, yet similar goals. It's a community where we're all pushing each other to be our very best. The training you receive here prepares you to navigate the changing world of art without falling victim to restrictions based on gender.
All the personal attention, and the fact that Moore is a very small, very focused women's art college; that's what drew me. I can't imagine myself anywhere else.
