Instructors in Studio Art & Design

The Continuing Education Department at Moore College of Art and Design has opportunities for part-time instructors with master’s degrees or equivalent professional experience to teach courses in the following areas: digital media for print and web, photography, interior design, fashion design, and fine arts (two dimensional and three dimensional). Courses meet one evening a week or on Saturdays for 10-week segments. Salary varies with program and experience.

Administrative Assistant to the Vice President for Finance & Administration

Department: Business Office
Exempt Status: Non-Exempt
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm

Qualifications/Requirements
Answer and screen all calls to the Vice President; redirect calls as appropriate; and maintain message log book. Maintain the Vice President’s calendar; Schedule meetings and take meeting minutes as requested.  Prepare letters and documents using Word; update Excel spreadsheets as necessary. Greet all visitors to the Business and Financial Aid Offices and direct them to the correct individual.  Answer all phone calls to the general office number and direct calls to the appropriate person.  Maintain office supplies.  Provide support to the Controller as requested.  Assist Financial Aid Director in monitoring Perkins Loan program for students no longer at the College.  Fill in for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable staff as needed.  Handle all other duties, projects/assignments as assigned. Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Experience in an office setting in an administrative support role.  Computer experience including data entry, Word, and Excel or similar programs.  Ability to work as part of a team and to provide a high level of customer service to staff, faculty and students.  Effective and professional communication skills; ability to communicate with all college constituencies.

Administrative Assistant

Department: Continuing Education
Exemption status: Non-Exempt

Summary of primary duties and responsibilities
This is an entry level position that performs accounting functions for the CE Department, this includes maintaining ledgers, general accounting, generating purchase orders, preparing budgets, managing tuition income, deposits, refunds and all monetary transactions.  This position also performs clerical duties, data entry and assists the Co-Director with scholarship & discount programs, faculty recruitment, program evaluations and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements
Candidate must have an AA or equivalent and/or at least two years administrative experience and experience with accounting or bookkeeping.  Candidate also must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including both Excel and Access and have excellent customer service skills.  This position will work some evenings and Saturdays and some local travel may be required.
