Meet Our Student Ambassadors

Our Student Ambassadors are student leaders who work for the Admissions department here at Moore. They will be leading campus tours when you visit this year. They are here to answer any questions from the student perspective, show you the College, and share their personal experiences.

Dana Osburn

Dana
Hi, I’m Dana, and I’m a senior Fine Arts: 2D major with a minor in Photography & Digital Arts. I came to Moore because I felt that the small class sizes offered here provide unique opportunities to
cultivate relationships with exciting professors, sharpen my studio skills, and strengthen my leadership skills. Also, the intimate environment here is conducive to the kind of customization I desire for my education. I hope to apply my new creative and leadership skills that I’ve developed here towards success in an excellent graduate program and later as a practicing studio artist. Check out my blog: http://danarobophoto.blogspot.com, and my website: www.danaosburn.com.

Megan Devonshire

Megan
Hi, I’m Meghan, and I’m a sophomore Art Education major. I came to Moore with only a vague idea of what I wanted out of my education, and it’s only because of the incredible support I received from the faculty and other students here that I was able to focus my energy on becoming an educator. I have learned so much and grown so significantly as an artist (and as a person!) in my time here. I’m planning to go into art therapy after graduation, and the Moore community has definitely played a huge part in shaping that plan; I couldn’t imagine finding the kind of experience that I’ve had at Moore anywhere else.

Brianna Barton

Brianna
Hey all! I’m Brianna. I am a junior here at Moore, double-majoring in Fine Arts: 2D, and Curatorial Studies. I love Moore… honestly couldn’t imagine going to school anywhere else. The sense of community is so strong here—it is the very foundation of Moore, and permeates through all aspects of life here. The classes are small and intimate, and my teachers are so devoted to my development as an artist. It is empowering to be in an environment that encourages growth and exploration. My classmates and friends are wonderful, talented, dedicated women. Everyone looks out for one another. That camaraderie is what makes being a student at Moore so invaluable.

Miranda Brackett

Miranda
Hello my name is Miranda and I am from Rumford, Maine.  I am currently a sophomore at Moore College of Art and Design and am Majoring in Fashion Design.  Moore is a very unique school because of its size and student body.  The support I get from the professors, staff, and peers is incredible and it pushes me to develop and grow as both an artist and leader.  Moore has various leadership opportunities for students.  I personally am involved in the Emerging Leaders in the Arts Program and the Resident Life Staff.  Both have given me a chance to connect with people, become a strong leader, and gain experience for when I graduate Moore.   Being a student at Moore has been a life changing experience and I cannot wait to see what the future holds.

Breana Copieland

Breana
My name is Breana and I am a senior Photography & Digital Arts major. My fours years at Moore have afforded me many opportunities, including curating an exhibit with a professional curator, and opportunities to exhibit my work. The Lock Career Center even helped me find money to support my internship through a fellowship. Plus in Philly, there is always something going on, so I'm never short of photo ops!

Beatrice Davis

Beatrice
Hello ladies, my name is Beatrice. I’m a senior in Fashion Design with a strong interest in print design. I might see some of you when you get a tour of the school. I’m also the current Secretary of Student Government. I am one of many student leaders who’s here to help you. Coming to Moore at first was scary because when you’re fresh out of high school, college seems like a whole new world. But after I got over the butterflies, I was able to see that I made one of the best decisions of my life.  The close relationships I have with faculty and students is so beneficial to me and my growth as an designer, an artist, and as a woman. When you come to MOORE, you begin to have a sense of pride, and school spirit built on experiences that will last a lifetime.

Tessa Guze

Tessa
Hi, my name is Tessa. I am an Illustration major, and I am minoring in both Graphic Design and Business.  I have always loved to create images, especially ones that are narrative but being at Moore has taught me ways to bring my work to its full potential. I have learned to seek creative ways to say what I want, through my paintings and drawings. I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to become a part of the unique, close-knit, inspiring, and supportive community here at Moore. When I graduate, I plan to take the artistic and leadership skills I have learned and apply it to become a successful children’s book illustrator, to help enrich the lives of children through narrated stories.

Simone Heron

Simone
Hey Ladies (and families)! I’m Simone, and I am a sophomore Fashion Design major. I am also interested in metal crafts and jewelry making. Being at Moore has opened my eyes to what the art world is really like outside of the classroom, tough, but if it is your passion and you go for it with full force, you can definitely make something of yourself. I am a Student Ambassador and might see you when you come in for a tour. I am also involved in the Student Orientation Staff and will be meeting you during new student orientation in August.

There are so many different leadership opportunities that you can participate in such as Student Government, becoming a Residents Assistant, or joining a school-wide committee! You are always more than welcome to create your own club… we just recently added the book club and knitting club this year.

And if you feel a little end-of-semester stress, the sisterhood (your friends and faculty at Moore), will always be there to support you and push you to meet your goals. Moore is in fact an amazing community for students and for alumnae even after graduation! That basically encompasses my reason for loving this school. I love it! I hope the next decision you make is to come to Moore (because it is the best!!!) and I hope to see you soon!

Rachel Luthy

Rachel
Hello Ladies! My name is Rachel. I am a Junior at Moore, double majoring in Textile Design and Art History. I come from a small town in Idaho; the enormous choice to move across the country to Philadelphia was a simple one, simply because I knew Moore was the right place for me to be! During my campus visit I fell in love with the prevalent feeling of community and growth that was taking place all around me. Every year I attend, I recognize more and more how great the faculty and other students I am working with are. Moore has given me opportunities to serve in countless leadership positions, network with individuals who are working in the art field, and travel internationally to Ghana. I know that the countless opportunities at success that are presented to me have greatly improved upon my college experience as a whole and will continue on throughout my attendance here at Moore.

Tiarra Maillard

Tiara
My name is Tiara and I am a senior Fashion Design major with a Business minor. The past four years here at Moore have been a wonderful experience. I’ve grown artistically and as a person. A couple words to describe myself would be creative and ambitious. Putting my design ideas on paper and bringing them to life is something I love to do. Fashion is definitely my passion and Moore gives me the chance to learn and become the best at what I do. I absolutely was confident and prepared going into my internship this summer.

Being a student ambassador here at Moore gives me the chance to meet new people and communicate how great Moore is to perspective students. The small classes and the fact that Moore has such a diverse close-knit community is certainly a plus. I love being a student here and I will be proud to say I am a Moore alumna when I graduate and for many years to come.

Emma Pouncey

Emma
Hi everyone!  I’m Emma, an international student from London, England and a Fine Arts: 3D major. I came to Moore slightly later in life, and just loved its location and openness; Moore is so bright and airy. As an international student, I feel really supported and encouraged to develop my ideas and skills. I have wonderful friends here and am guided by very talented professors. I have had many amazing opportunities, which includes going to the Venice Biennale, through an incredible travel fellowship that I was awarded. I feel ready to go out into the world and show them what I’m made of!
