The world as seen through the eyes of an artist.
Since 1899, Moore has encouraged students to pursue international, national
and/or regional travel fellowship opportunities, believing that travel
experiences offer life-changing opportunities that enhance both their
personal lives and professional work.
Moore is committed to sponsoring international travel fellowships and
offers unique travel courses as a means of preparing students to understand
the role of an artist in an international context and incorporate global
perspectives into their discipline.
International travel fellowships include the Frieda Fehrenbacher
Fellowship and the Emily Sartain Fellowship, both of which are designed for
international travel. Additionally, Moore offers the Sarah Peter and
Harriet Sartain Felllowships, which are not restricted in their use and
encourage travel. Recently students have traveled to Mexico, Venezuela,
Italy, England, France, Morocco, Japan, Ghana, Brazil, Switzerland and
Australia.
These travel fellowships and credit-bearing summer courses allow students
to broaden their view of themselves and the world around them from outside
their own cultural, social and political perspectives.
