Artists are curious by nature. Their interests are broad, yet focused. Moore offers its students the ability to create a customized learning experience by combining any of the 17 available minors to complement their major course of study.
To graduate with a minor, students must complete a minimum of 15 credits in a specific area of study outside of a chosen major. All credits earned toward a minor count toward the open “studio electives” of all majors. Approximately 20% of Moore students graduate with a minor. To explore the benefits of adding a minor, we recommend that students speak with an academic advisor or a department chair.

Fine Arts: 3D
Minors in fine arts: 3D allow students to pursue their interest in a specific 3D discipline such as sculpture, ceramics, small metals, welding or woodworking. Students can also choose 3D based courses that support a more diverse and interdisciplinary approach to the broader sculptural concerns of object-making, performance and situ installations.

Illustration Concepts and Practices I and II (3.0 credit hours) are required for all Illustration minors. These classes satisfy 6.0 credit hours. An additional 9.0 credit hours in other selected Illustration courses fulfill the 15.0 credit hour requirement for the minor. There are prerequisites for advanced course. Please contact the Illustration Department for more information.

An interior design minor gives students in related majors the opportunity to increase the breadth of their design and 3D experience.
