Lisa Adamitis – Digital Media for Print and Web

Lisa Adamitis is a freelance designer and has been a graphics educator for more than 10 years. She has a BFA from Kutztown University. She excelled as an art director and designer in the medical and university publishing arena for many years before becoming a full-time freelancer. Her specialty remains medical and research literature. Her clients include Harcourt College Publishing, Thompson Publishing, Temple University Press, Addison Wesley and Novartis Corp.

Jaime Alvarez - Digital Photography

Jaime Alvarez received her MFA in photography from Cranbrook Academy of Art and her BFA in Photography from Rhode Island School of Design. She has been living and working as a photographer and artist in Philadelphia for more than two years.

Stephanie Beck – Art & Design Fundamentals

Stephanie has over ten years of teaching experience gained from several art & design schools including the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston as well as the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. She holds a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate from and a master of fine arts from these institutions respectively.

Elissa Bloom – Fashion Studies

Elissa Bloom is a recognized acessories sesigner with her own brand label that debuted six years ago. Her work has been featured in over 50 publications and has sold nationally and internationally to specialty and department stores. She became the exclusive licensed designer for Avon and the launch of Mark in 2004 and has also licensed her designs on gift bags and umbrellas. She has extensive experience in design, product development, overseas sourcing, importing and wholesaling. She received a BA in communications from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst.

Asli Cakim – Interior Decorating

Asli Cakim received her MFA in museum exhibition planning and design from the University of the Arts. She has a strong design background including 10 years in exhibit design and marketing. Her professional experience includes working for such clients as Journey Communications Inc., Material Culture, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and Roche Pharmaceuticals.

Bruce Campbell – Art & Design Fundamentals

Bruce Campbell received his MFA in Sculpture from Massachusetts College of Art and his BFA in art history, ceramics from Kansas City Art Institute. He has participated in numerous solo, two-person and group exhibitions and has a diverse repertoire of technical skills as bronze casting, ceramics, metalworking, papermaking and woodworking.

Julia Cybularz – Digital Photography

Julia Cybularz received her MFA in photography from The School of Visual Arts and her BS in photography from Drexel University. She is currently an adjunct professor of photography at Drexel University and has extensive experience creating and using current video technology in addition to her photography background. She has exhibited her work in New York, Los Angeles and Philadelphia.

Jessica Doyle - Fine Arts

Jessica Doyle is a practicing painter and designer with a love and passion for teaching. She received her MFA in drawing and painting from the University of Pennsylvania and her BFA in drawing and painting from Tyler School of Art. Her professional experience includes teaching at Tyler School of Art, The University of the Arts and The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. In addition to group exhibits, Jessica’s most recently completed a solo exhibition “Intimate Environment” at the Philadelphia Art Alliance, PA.

Jenny Drumgoole – Digital Photography

Jenny Drumgoole received her MFA from The Yale School of Art in both photography and video. She currently teaches at Rowan University. Drumgoole believes that teaching rests on two principles – a strong technical foundation and the development of artistic voice. She has participated in several exhibitions and screenings including the San Diego Women’s Film Festival and The Center for Contemporary Art in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Jesse Finley Reed – Digital Photography

Jesse Finley Reed received his MFA in photography from the Yale University School of Art and his BFA from Tufts University, School of the Museum of Fine Arts. He has received numerous scholarships and awards including a DAAD Stipend for Berlin, Germany and he was also a finalist for a Fulbright Travel Grant to Berlin, Germany. The Yale University Art Gallery has commissioned his work.

Alexis Granwell – Fine Arts

Alexis Granwell received her MFA in fine arts from the University of Pennsylvania and her BFA in painting from Boston University. She currently teaches at The University of the Arts and has also taught at University of Pennsylvania. She has participated in several group and solo exhibitions.

Glenn Groglio – Art & Design Fundamentals/Digital Media for Print and Web

Glenn Groglio has over 20 years experience as a designer working with such major clients as Coty Beauty, Merck & Company, Inc., Lenox Brands and Dansk International Design. He specializes in the following design disciplines: Product design and development, logo & brand, identity development, and advertising. He has won numerous awards including the 1989 Clio award.

Lena Helen – Art & Design Fundamentals

Lena Helen received her MFA from Maine College of Art in interdisciplinary studio art. She graduated from Syracuse University with a BFA in sculpture and painting. Helen is a founding member of a local “think tank that is yet to be named” – an artists collective that engages in the politics of community and art. She teaches in the Basics program at Moore College of Art & Design.

Millie Hiibel – Fashion Studies

Millie Hiibel is a noted costume designer with extensive experience in designing fashion for theater and film. She has been recognized by several prestigious award and honors in costume design. She worked as a seamstress for the film Shadow Boxer, starring Cuba Gooding, Jr. With an MFA from Temple University, Hiibel offers a wide range of ability from costumes and fashion watercolor depictions to the history of fashion and costume. She currently teaches at Arcadia University.

Robert Hires –Digital Media for Print and Web

Robert Hires is a graphic designer and educator specializing in computer illustration and technology. Before founding Hires Graphics, a computer graphics studio, his professional experience included being the Creative Director at Discovery Software, a software development company. He is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.

Deb Hoy – Fine Arts

Deb Hoy received her MFA in sculpture from the University of Pennsylvania, a BA in sculpture from the Chelsea School of Art, London, UK. She has several commissions including the Water Bottle Falls, Fairmount Waterworks Interpretive Center and is also an active exhibitor, most recently participating in the 2008 Woodmere Art Museum Annual Juried Show.

Autumn Kietponglert – Fashion Studies

Autumn Kietponglert received her Master of Science on fashion design from Drexel University and her BFA in fibers from The University of the Arts. She is a fashion designer that creates for her own label, AutumnLin, making custom garments and accessories with intense surface design and textile manipulation.

Eros LeRoi – Fashion Studies

Eros LeRoi brings thirty-five years in the fashion industry to his teaching experience. He focuses his talents on teaching students to take their original concept from the initial sketch to the finished product. He offers an extensive knowledge of pattern making, clothing construction, and fashion history. His accomplishments include two Cleo Awards for manufacturing excellence.

Daniel Lobdell – Digital Photography

Daniel rLobdell eceived an MFA in photography from Tyler School of Art and a master of art in studio art from Western Carolina University. He has extensive teaching experience at such institutions as the Pennsylvania College of Art & Design, Camden County College and Tyler School of Art. In addition to receiving many awards and honors such as the 2005 Fleischer Art Memorial Challenge Exhibitions Finalist, he has participated in many group and solo exhibitions.

Jacob Lunderby - Art & Design Fundamentals

Jacob Lunderby received his MFA from the University of Minnesota and his BFA from Minneapolis College of Art & Design. He held a full-time teaching position in the Department of Art and Art History at Gustavus Adolphus College. Teaching is an enriching component to his active studio practice including a regular exhibition record. He also freelances as an art preparatory to several museums and art organizations in Philadelphia.

Kathy Mueller –Digital Media for Print and Web

Kathy Mueller is a Moore College alumnae majoring in graphic design. She has published in many magazines and journals including Philadelphia Business Journal and Adweek. She is currently a Graphic Designer with Kanter International, a business and brand-building firm.

Warren Muller and R.J. Thornburg – Interior Decorating

Warren Muller and R.J. Thornburg are partners who own Bahdeebahdu, a nationally recognized firm specializing in interiors and lighting design. Thornburg has designed interiors for the hospitality, corporate and residential markets over the past 25 years. Muller, self-proclaimed luminary with degrees in cinematography and photography, continues to infuse the theatrical in his lighting work and illuminated sculptors.

Kris Parker – Interior Decorating

Kris Parker is a textile artist and has taught textile design courses for over 19 years at various colleges and universities such as University of the Arts in Philadelphia. She received her BFA from The Maryland Institute, College of Art in printmaking/serigraphy and her MFA from Tyler School of Art in fibers. In 1995 she co-partnered a new “green” business in textile recycling that included product development and the designing and visual merchandizing of a retail space “New Threads”. Her textile interests from that point on shifted into Interior Design and have included such posts as Showroom Interior Decorator for IKEA and In-Home Design Consultant for Calico Corners. She continues to maintain her own Fabric Printing Studio in Glenside.

Cheri Privor – Interior Decorating

Cheri Privor received her MS degree in interior design from Drexel University. She has worked as an interior designer for years after a successful career as an editor and journalist. Privor has recently created her own high-end design firm in which she is a principal. Her interior design experience spans work in both metropolitan DC and Philadelphia.

Katya Roelse –Fashion Studies

Katya Roelse received her aster of science in fashion design from Drexel University and her BFA from the University of the Arts. She has several years experience designing, sewing and managing creative environments. She has worked with the Fashion Council Committee, Fabrica and also functioned as a design tutor and critic for the Microsoft School of the Future.

Lauren Rosenthal – Art & Design Fundamentals

Lauren Rosenthal takes an interdisciplinary approach to fine arts education and believes her primary goal is to help students develop a greater appreciation for the language of visual expression. Rosenthal received her MFA in visual art from the University of North Carolina and her BFA in sculpture from Washington University in St. Louis. She has won numerous awards and fellowships and has participated in solo and group exhibitions.

Caroline Santa – Fine Arts

Caroline Santa received her MFA from the University of Pennsylvania and her BFA in printmaking from the University of Delaware. Most recently Caroline completed a five-month residency in Colombia, South America that culminated in a solo show, “Psychological Spaces”. She has taught at the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Delaware.

Theresa Saulin – Fine Arts

Theresa Saulin received her MFA in ceramics from the University of the Arts and her BFA in printmaking/drawing from Moore College of Art & Design. She currently teaches Fine Arts Seminar, Advanced Ceramics, Raku and Wheel Throwing in Moore’s BFA, Young Artist’s Workshop and Continuing Studies programs at Moore College of Art & Design. Daniel Schenk – Art & Design Fundamentals

Daniel Schenk believes that in the classroom as well as the studio, the best momentum comes from sustained curiosity-a willingness to try new materials, consider new ideas, and develop new techniques. As an educator, he tries to isolate, and translate the ways that creativity already informs students’ lives. Schenk received his MFA in vsual arts: painting from the University of California, San Diego and his BFA in visual arts: painting and drawing from Tyler School of Art. He was also a residency participant at the Skowagen School of Painting and Sculpture.

Lauren Scott – Fine Arts

Lauren Scott received her BFA in painting from the Maryland Institute College of Art and is currently working on her master of fine arts in painting from the University of Delaware. Scott's professional experience includes being a juror for the Delaware Governor’s School of Excellence and teaching in the Department of Fine Arts at the University of Delaware. She has conducted numerous group and solo exhibitions.

Irene Sfakianos – Interior Decorating

Irene Sfakianos has an extensive teaching career that includes teaching with The Brooklyn Museum, University of the Arts, Delaware County Community College. She received an MFA in painting and art history from Pratt Institute, a BFA in painting from Philadelphia College of Art, and a certificate in architectural drafting from MIT.

Crystal Shamblee – Fashion Studies

Crystal Shamblee received her MFA in fashion design from the Savannah College of Art & Design and her bachelor of science in textile and apparel management from North Carolina State University. She has several years professional experience in the fashion industry, including working for Spiegal Brands Inc. She currently works as the Assistant Academic Director of Fashion Design at The Art Institute of Philadelphia.

Montana Torrey – Art & Design Fundamentals

Montana Torrey is an interdisciplinary artist, receiving her MFA from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago as well as studying at the Skowegan School of Painting and Sculpture. She has completed several study abroad programs in France and Cuba and has extensive teaching experience.

Ryan Widger – Digital Photography

Ryan Widger has extensive experience as a teacher and successful studio artist. He recently returned to Philadelphia after spending a year in Stockholm, Sweden on a Fulbright Fellowship. He received his MFA in photography from the Cranbrook Academy of Art and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania. He also attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture.

Daniel Wilkinson – Art & Design Fundamentals

Daniel Wilkinson received his MFA in aainting and printmaking from Yale University School of Art and his BFA in painting from Indiana University. He also studied in Rome, Italy at Tyler School of Art. He has many years teaching experience from Bucks County Community College, Louisiana State University, Towson State University and many other schools. He has an active exhibition record including recent exhibitions at Muse Gallery, Philadelphia, PA and Dumbo Arts Under the Bridge Festival, Brooklyn, NY.

Michael Yoder – Art & Design Fundamentals/Digital Media for Print and Web

Michael Yoder received an MFA in painting from the Rhode Island School of Design, a certificate in collegiate teaching from Brown University and a BFA in painting/drawing from The Pennsylvania State University. He has many years of teaching experience including teaching courses at Rhode Island School of Design, Yale University, and Massachusetts College of Art. Yoder has received numerous awards including an Artist in Residence Fellowship from Pouchcove Foundation.

Jeffrey Zarnoch – Interior Decorating

Jeffrey Zarnoch is an independent consultant on interior design projects as well as an adjunct professor teaching at the Architecture and Design School at Philadelphia University. His professional experiences include conducting visioning sessions, project programming, interior architectural design, and project management. Zarnoch’s interests lie in the promotion of new ideas, emerging trends, products and services as they relate to overall industry leadership. He received a bachelor of architecture from the University of the Arts.
